I came across this today on an old backup disk and wondered if anyone else got the urge every now and again to "Wax Poetical"
When I got my first telescope 20 years ago I hadn't a clue what I was looking at so ordered a planetarium program I found on the local bulletin board. When it didn't show after a couple of weeks I sent this.
I had written them a letter, which, because it seemed the better,
had sent it off to Melbourne, using Electronic Mail.
But no software came directed, from the place that I expected.
And I came to the conclusion, that the fax machine had failed.
So, I wrote the order out again, and sent it down the line.
Pointing out upon it that this was the second time
and waited for the mailman to deliver what I seek
While my telescope had gathered dust for nearly 3 whole weeks.
Ezycosmos looks the thing, for this stargazing game
for without some information, they all look the bloody same
and the wonder of the heavens, all around the Southern Cross
Will all be made much clearer, when its loaded up from DOS.
