Great image Doug! Is that cropped?
You've got some nice star colours too, I can't get any colour :)

Thanks guys, hope you enjoyed your trip down to SA.
The Yarra valley vino was much appreciated.
Hopefully I can do longer exposures now, and I can say bye bye to the 30sec specials!!

Thanks mate,
I actually really like the green of the Tarantula Neb' - one of my favourites.
A bit of red would be nice though:P

Cheers

Now you're cooking, Doug! Great shot. Looks like you could extract even more detail from that one with a tad extra processing in the fainter areas.. Try setting the black point a few clicks lower. Focus looks good, tracking is spot on. Way to go.

Thanks Bill,
I hope to get into the autoguiding side of things soon so that I may leave the safety of the 30sec exposure behind me in order to not have to squeeze the crap out of every photon/pixel in the image!!
I'll experiment with the black point - thanks for the advice Bill
I have had lots of great advice and feedback from many IIS astrophotographers - Thanks all.
Cheers
