Is there merit in having a sticky thread associated with the glossary to:
perhaps catch those who haven't found the glossary;
point people to the glossary before they ask the question;
collect questions about terms that are not in the glossary so it's easy for some to pick up the missing terms and add them to the glossary later?Al.

I'd prefer in the first instance to keep adding terms to the glossary, which GeoffW1 has sent me a document yesterday with some new terms.
Terry also has an idea to integrate glossary terms (as popup helps) into threads and posts, like you see on some technical sites. That will also be a great help for those that don't know what's being talked about.
Those popup helps when going over an certain word are great.

Cool!:thumbsup: I can't say I've come across that yet, but it sounds like a great idea!
My suggestion was just a way to provide a mechanism for someone to find out the meaning of a term, and also facilitate updating or extending the glossary as omissions are found, but the popup idea sounds great.

The glossary itself will be in the form of a wiki page, so people will be able to add to and extend the glossary with minimal fuss!
Al, to see how the popups work, have a look at this NASA site (http://imagine.gsfc.nasa.gov/docs/ask_astro/answers/980202c.html) and hover over the highlighted words.
