Just back from a couple of weeks in far-western NSW. Awesome dark skies!

First is a stack of 30-sec exposures, Canon 400D, 30-sec at F/3.5, ISO 1600, 18mm in 18-55mm kit lens. This was taken at White Cliffs, 1 October 2007.

Second is a single exposure from Canon 400D, with Auto Levels adjustment in PS. Details per text. This was taken at Silverton near Broken Hill at the inaugural SCP astro camp over the weekend.

Cheers -

Looks like you had some fun Rob!
I like the silverton one...very nice!
Always want to go to white Cliffs but have always run out of time on our holidays out west..Maybe next year!
Nothing beats those dark skies out that way even right down to the horizon...Awesome!
cheers Gary

I Love the single exposure shot with the Canon.
Every time I see a shot like that it puts the Canon 400D further up my list of things to buy !
