In my rush to purchase a 13mm Ethos I am parting with some gear that I probably should keep.....but....well, you understand.....

And so, here is another item I have decided (reluctantly) to part with.

It is a 2 inch UHC style filter. I purchased it through Bintel last year. They kindly brought it in with an order of other stuff from Orion in the US for me. I bought it for $159.

It is in near perfect condition, only used perhaps half a dozen times. It is an excellent general purpose nebula filter.

I cannot find any current Aussie prices for it, but it retails in the US for around the USD115 plus postage mark. You could probably land it in Australia from the US for about $140 with current exchange rates.

I will sell for $110 to the first taker, inclusive of postage to anywhere in Australia.

Please PM me....thanks for looking:thumbsup:

This filter is great because it helps improves the view under suburban skies, where light pollution is such a bummer.

For those wanting more info on this item, this is the blurb from the Orion website:

UltraBlock™ Narrowband Light-Pollution

Dramatically Improves Views of Emission and Planetary Nebulas
The UltraBlock is the filter for deep-sky observers located at highly light-polluted sites. Blocks all forms of light pollution - mercury vapor and sodium emission bands - while passing the critical hydrogen-beta and ionized oxygen wavelengths. With an UltraBlock, emission and planetary nebulas "surface" from the washed out background sky. In dark skies, the UltraBlock also enhances the sky presence of a significant number of fainter deep-sky objects over unfiltered and wideband-filtered views.

The one for sale is the thin larger filter in the attached picture.

No takers apparently......unless someone shows some interest, I will take this off the market. I would drop to $100, but not any lower. It is too good to sell for peanuts.
