To make some funds available to assist with impending 13mm Ethos purchase, I am selling my 12 mm University Optics high definition Orthoscopic eyepiece.
I purchased it from Frontier Optics about 12 months ago for about $125. I have used it mostly with my ED80 for nice widefield views, but also at times in the SDM, in which it gives excellent light throughput for lunar and planetary observing, and has also been excellent for splitting double stars.
The eyepiece is in near perfect condition.
I will sell to anywhere in Australia for $80 incl postage.
This is the manufacturer's blurb:
The University Optics HD orthoscopic 1.25" eyepieces offer all the features of the renown standard orthoscopic but also includes broad band anti reflective (B.B.A.R) multi coatings, rubber eyecups and recessed barrels for superior performance.
The HD orthoscopic has a sharp, contrast rich 45 degree field of view. Another quality planetary eyepiece. These are an excellent alternative to the Burgess Planetary eyepiece series.
If you would like to step up from the cheap Plossl level to something a little more satisfying, this might just be the Ep for you.
PM only please....
