Congratulations to the winners for picking up the great prizes on offer, and thanks very much to the generous sponsors who donated prizes in order to make this competition happen! Please show your support to them, for showing their support to the IceInSpace community!
I'll be contacting the winners via PM and they will have 1 week to respond and acknowledge their prize and give me their address and contact details.
Thanks to everyone who entered the competition and helping to celebrate the 3rd birthday of IceInSpace!
I'll be updating the Competition Info page with the winners info over the next few days.
Below is a picture of the draw. Thanks to Glen, Aidan and the people at York Optical for their hospitality this afternoon and for taking part in the draw!

Great news. Can't believe it!
Thanks Mike for organising the 3rd birthday comp, and for 3 years of slog and creative genius in developing and growing this site into what it is today. It is fantastic to be involved at all, let alone to score 1st prize!
Thanks also to the sponsors.....not only am I personally thrilled with all of the prizes, but it is great that you actively support our Noble Hobby every day through your business endeavours, and through one off events like sponsoring this IceInSpace competition.
Congratulations to all three of you and have a lot of fun with the prizes :)

Wow, I'm totally amazed! I can't think of anything I've won by chance before. Every part of the prize will be useful to me, which is even better. Particularly looking forward to the binos as I was using my smaller birdwatching ones (8x42) just last night.
Thanks again to Ice in Space and the sponsors - I almost feel guilty having only been on here just under a year - almost!

I am real excited bout winning the prizes that were up for grabs @ 3rd place.
Solanum you shouldn't feel guilty cause i have been here for just over a month and a half. I joined because this site had an abundance of information on outer - space and specially about the lunar eclipse in August.
Once again thanks to everyone who participated and thanks to the sponsors for the prizes. :)
Regards

At the risk of being repetitive: Congratulations to the winners and a whole pile of thanks to the sponsors of the birthday bash. Fantastic.
To you, Mike, and to your collaborators, many thanks and kudos for the effort you put in to make this happen. I am only too well aware from my activities in another arena that a significant amount of time and effort is expended in organising such ventures.
P.S. Seeing as I'm old enough to be your dad - tuck your ****** shirt in. :D

Congratulations to all the entrants who had a go and submitted their entries, and well done to the lucky winners, there were some fabulous prizes in that swag of goodies!
A big thank you to all the sponsors who donated the glittering array of prizes – I will be knocking on your doors, and browsing your on-line shop fronts when considering my next purchases.
To the competition organisers and operators – you guys done well! The buzz bouncing around the Forum during these competitions is quite palpable, almost lighting up the wires carrying broadband into our house!
Cheers
Dennis
PS – the contribution of a few questions is modest indeed, compared to the daily work required to keep this diverse and wide flung community alive and well, so let’s keep on keeping this THE astro place to be!
Congratulations to the lucky winners, well done. Many thanks to all the generous sponsors. To Mike,Dennis,Paul & Terry well done , once again a great effort.....oh and Mike, don,t worry about the shirt mate.

Well done everyone and huge cheers to IIS on its 3rd birthday - its a great community site!
Seeing as that was my very first astronomy competition and as I'm not as well read on astronomy as some of you guys on this site would there be any chance of publishing the results to the questions?
I would be very interested in seeing just how many questions I got correct! Or more to the point how many I got incorrect!!!
Well done to the winners
Sorry, please ignore my previous post as I have just found my answers.
