Hi Guys,
Just found out there will be a new DSI III available in November. Starts at $1299 U.S, i might consider. what do you guys think ?

the mono version is the same price as the colour version at $1299 U.S without the filter.

Eric, I think the Qhy2pro may be a better option, same chip but with active cooling. There is also the Qhy2 which is the current color version.

Even with our strong dollar I'd surprised to see it here for much under $2k..... Does look quite good though. Four times the chip area as the DSI II I believe.....

totally agree with you fahim. The only think is the lack of software support i find with the Qhy2pro.

Hi Eric, I've been reading a lot of mixed reactions about the DSI III but the general thought is that it is overpriced by about $300US.
I have to master my DSI II Pro before I think about anything else.

Well Eric, I looked at the DSI III images from the links. I must say that they are pretty good for a DSI, but I also believe that your 300D images are far better,
Why would you want to step backwards?

hmm i agree with you on that one Ric. It is abit pricey and not even peltier cooler.
you have convinced me ken... now, how am i gonna get my modded 300d back? :( :(

I have a Long Exposure Modified Toucam with a slightly (heavy) Glowy
Amp problem if you need a good camera :lol:
