G'day all,
I spent tonight imaging the planetary nebula IC 5150. I've ended up with arelatively nice image.
Need to work out how to calebrate my RGB - I'm guessing I need to find a star that's "white" and take shots of it with each filter.
See image and details here (http://www.rogergroom.com/rogergroom/esh_rog_item.jsp?Item=652).
The first 4 luminance images were spectacular clarity, then the wind picked up and stayed gusty for the remainder of the night. So quality has suffered as a result, and I lost many shots due to the wind also.
Oh, and I checked out this object in my friend's 15" Obsession tonight also, good to compare and contrast. Couldn't see the central star at all, but the donut shape was clearly visible.
It was a fun night
Roger.
