Hi all
Went for this unusual object tonight, in that it is not listed in the RNGC apparently its makers decided it is too insignificant and so deleted it from the original NGC.

6x10 mins ISO 400. Idas uv/ir and Baader UHCS filters, MPCC coma corrector, 10 inch f5.6 newtonian, off axis hand guided. Hutech modded 350D camera. Rather warm very dry night, was windy earlier so seeing not the best. As usual Iris used for initial processing with darks, flats and offsets, as well as aligning, stacking and colour balancing/stretching. This is a full resolution crop.

Great image Scott, the shape of the planetary is intriguing. I could be that the image is looking at the side instead of front-on. It also seems like there is a spiral structure to it as well.

Not a bad image Scott, looks like a younger or more distant cousin to the dumbell. Looking very similar.

Thanks all. It is indeed an odd object and quite amazing its been overlooked for the Revised New General Catalogue. It is in Star Atlas pro, and also the Argo Navis internal catalogue under the alternative name Heinz 2-119.
Think we are in for a long hot summer with hot weather here so soon. Cooled DSLRs will do well :)

Interesting target. Have not seen this before. Reminds me of one of the Sharpless objects with its small angular size. Looking forward to more surprises.
