Moon and Pleiades tonight close pairing

The Moon will be close to the Pleiades tonight.. Could make a nice visual pairing.

They were very close. The seeing was poor due to a lot of moisture in the air. I could not actually see the Pleiades in my binoculars if I didn't make sure the moon was completely out of the field of due to the flare from the moon.

I saw it out my window early this morning and thought I might have a go with the new 400d for some laughs. So below is a hand held exposure of several seconds (and a poorly scaled and combined image of the moon). I don't think it will win any awards though. :P

Yep I have tried to do this ages ago - certain failure with the moon being that bright. Nice diagram though:thumbsup::whistle:
