my attempt at m17 while on holiday in wales ( uk)
6 x 2 mins iso3200/300d/st80 refractor
shame the mist came in but it was a good start and i mean to go on.
the second image is a cropped version of the original

you get to image while on Holidays - WOW. nice start, though I would have thought there would have been a lot more info in the image for a 2 min shot at ISO 3200 - probably even skyfogged with light from around the traps. you might have over processed the image and inadvertently removed some data. The experts will no doubt be able to confirm if this has happened. Nice try - how were they guided?. might need a fringe killer from Baader

Arite little col,I' a Manc meself (from Wythenshaw,Stretford,Sale originally)I never got into astronomy until I moved out here to Oz.Keep up the good work though.Guy

houghy i thought myself there should be more info in the image but my processing skills are to say the least very poor , do you think anybody wants a bash at processing the tiff file:D

oops forgot to mention , i did use a baader f.killer when imaging this target:)
