It doesn't happen very often, not sunrise; me getting up in time to see it :P , so when I promised to take a drive this morning in the wee hours to witness the sun come up (the things we do that get us out of a warm bed in the morning  ) I couldn't miss the opportunity for a photo session.
Now, me taking terrestrial photos is about as common as me getting up to see the sun come up, it's just something I'm not very into, though I really appreciate the art of others.
So here is a rare opportunity to see some of my inexperienced work at imaging the local scenery. Taken from Mooloolaba Beach, the best of a heap of shots rattled off and then lightly curved and framed in PS to enhance contrast. No other processing. It was a pretty spectacular morning. Maybe I should get up early more often. :P
Camera and lense: Canon 300D and 28-90 zoom (standard issue)
Settings: who knows, I was switching back and forwards from automatic to P,Tv and Av and just trying different settings to see what came out.
