Hello people I've recently bought an 8" dob and I am new to all of this and I'm trying hard to find the time to learn more and discover whats out there. But I just want to see Saturn ha ha I know more patience but can anyone give a little direction , like a date and time frame maybe ??:P

Saturn is rising about 4:30 am. Look east for Venus rising, Saturn is a fingerwidth below Venus, but the sky will be getting light soon after that.
Good viewing with the new Dob. :)

Saturn is a magnificent sight through a telescope, you really will love it. However it's not the best time to look for it right now - it's just passed superior conjunction (gone behind the sun) and is just coming out the other side.. that means, it's only visible for a very short time right before the sun rises.
That means it's still very low in the sky and you're looking through a lot of atmospheric turbulence.. if you even manage to find it, it will be very blurry and jiggly, like looking through jelly. You most likely would find it very difficult to make out the rings.
You really need to wait a month or two until it's higher in the morning sky before dawn.

However Jupiter is still well placed, just heading into the West sky after sunset. It's the brightest "star" in the sky after sunset looking overhead/west. You'll see the 4 faint moons and a couple of darker belts. More detail can be seen in good conditions and once you get some experience.

An 8" dob is a great starting scope! Make sure you learn how to collimate, get a star chart and go hunting!
