It's time to say goodbye to the trusty modified Toucam. :hi:
Tonight I did the last images to come out of it before it gets set in wax and sent to Madame Tussauds
I have had a blast with this Camera/Webcam, but all good things come to an end.
The weather for the rest of the week is bleak, and I'll have the DSI up and running by next clear night :), so I made sure I used tonights beautiful sky to get these last images. I tried my best, but the cameras performance is even worse than before so forgive the quality.
I also got Swan Nebula but wasn't happy with it, so I didn't post it.
Enjoy

nice stuff Ken - now will the toucam be used for autoguiding?
Well done Ken, you are still getting some great images from the Toucam.
Cheers

DJ, I used the Saxon ED80 with Focal Reducer on an EQ6 with Skyscan V2.5a, and Autoguided through a 100mm Achro richfield refractor.
The ED80 is an amazing little scope for Atrophotography
Thanks Mike, either can I :)
Probably. It seems to be OK for around a few seconds
Thanks Ric, I have tried to wring every bit out of it.
Sorry Gary, I'll probably use it for Autoguiding if it's up to the job.
Thanks, Ken, for the info.
everyone seems to like the ED80.

I ended up attempting to process Swan Nebula after all.
Nowhere near as good as the ones I imaged earlier this year (again due to camera dying).
But as it was taken on the last night of the Toucam Adventure, I thought I better try process it and post it anyway
Just for old times sake

Doesn't worry me if I can't get up to your standard, Eric. The journey is what makes me happy. As long as I have fun on that journey, it's all worth it  :)

what i meant was the other way around. if you can produce images like those coming out of the toucam, you'll rip it through with the DSI with ease..
damn vic weather is bad though for the next week :(

Leon, you would not believe the amount of processing I have had to do to get this much detail for these last images. I spent several hours on each one to get them to show anything.
It's like trying to wring petrol out of an oily rag.
