Discovered that wearing sunnies before you go out viewing really helps with night vision.also looking at faint nebula with sunnies on really make them stand out. Sounds weird I know but next time your out give it a try, you won't be disappointed :eyepop:

do you wear a set of tea strainers on your ears to hear the cosmic sounds and flippers on the feet to get grip in the dew :rofl: :D

Sound so strange it must have some basis to it.

lol houghy I got my better half to have a look too, and she said that the nebula really stood out a lot more than with the naked eye. Tea bags and flippers are next week hint.

OK time to cut up the Ray Bans for my Neb Filter.....lol

$300 pair of sunnies for a $100 filter.....sounds like something I would do.

do your sunnies have polarized lenses?

yeah got a feeling it's more to do with the polorization of the glasses. Cutting down glare to make finter objects appear more visible.

I wore my dark-tinted prescription glasses one night to see the Moon better and it worked but I couldn't see anything else! Just BLACK! Mustn't be a polarised tint.
