there's no doubt about it Jay is a very talented man. he produces some exceptionally stunning images
now if only it looked like that thru my telescope :)

Very nice...I couldn't see any sign of Antares' double. I suppose higher mag would be needed for that?

Much higher mag. That is a very wide field shot. Compared to film it would be like using something like a 200mm lens roughly.

Thanks Kevin. I just added Bob's Knobs to my scope last week, collimated, and split Antares for the first time. It's on the brain!!

Wow. My new wallpaper. There's that little glob near Antares and M4 that we were looking for (and found) on Saturday night!
