Hi Guys i wasn't going to post this image of m7, but had second thoughts and would appreciate any valuable feed back from those more experienced.

The image consists of only two exposures at 8mins each @ 200 ISO, as i was just playing around with times and speeds etc.

Also on G11 with Conon 5D and Guided as before, processed in image plus as well, I think the focus could be off a bit.

Cheers Leon

Leon, ignoring the focus, the Guiding looks spot on

Excellent guiding for a total of 16 minutes :)

Very nice Leon, it looks a very interesting subject and I don't think I have seen this one before.

Cheers

Ric, thank you, it is M7 in Scorpio, quite a rich Star field in the Milky Way area.

I'm going to have to study up on my clusters Leon, I been too absorbed in galaxies and planetary nebs lately.

Don't worry Ric, I am not well versed of the night sky myself, there is probably heaps out there that I have never seen.

nice start for this conon camera - must be a cheap knockoff by the firm who make the 81mm telepoo.;) with ken the guiding looks good - but every other shot you have is TAK sharp, did it move slightly or just didn't quite get there (gee we are a picky bunch). I dunno, between you and Eric lately you have the imaging scene all sewn up:whistle:

Houghy the focus thing was probably my own fault or I was just a bit lazy i think,
When i did the first image it was about 5 degrees, than by the time i had finished with the Lagoon, it had dropped to zero, but i didn't redo the focus which would have changed with the temp drop. :screwy:

Just goes to show how critical focusing correctly is.

Leon
