Well done Astrogirl, a very worthy winner. With your runaway success, you will have had plenty of time to think up a good subject for September. What's it to be?

Congratulations Elizabeth, for a very nice photo and for winning the August competition. The standard of entries was excellent and once again, I really enjoyed seeing everyone's entries; it is fascinating to see how the theme was interpreted so differently and so well by everyone - top job to y'all!

Cheers

Dennis

I was disappointed in the number of people who voted.. especially for a month with such a high standard! Less people voted than actually entered the competition! Oh well.

Congrats Elizabeth! A worthy winner. What's the next months subject?

iceman, Dos the system have the facility to send a bulk PM (for administrators)? perhaps you could send a PM to all members asking them to vote?

Hello, Elizabeth

Colours – now that is a nice and interesting topic for this month – thanks. Now go and hide Daddy’s cameras so we will all have a better chance in the competition!

Cheers

Yes, I was serious - I'm trying to think of ways to achieve this. Doubt I can pull it off, however.

Hmmm... you mean with a shot like this???

I did fleetingly think of doing a tinted monochrome shot, but dismissed that as failing on the plural colours...

As tempted as I am to submit this photo of our dog, Sir Billy Manners, I have already put an entry in and I don't think I should change it to this just because it's your idea!

Anyway I think this is a cute shot. I was taking photos of the girls for their first day at school, and Billy quite seriously decided he was going to be photographed as well and posed with great dignity. I couldn't resist!;) Later I did the colour splash and vignetting while playing about in PS. BTW, the little gash on his left shoulder was from his first trip to the beach... he wandered off a bit and I called him... of course he came charging back only to disappear momentarily into a rock pool:rolleyes::doh:. He's not a beach doggy... but he had a ball anyway!:)
