I just thought I'd post a few photos of what basic equipment can get you. I have only been taking photos since February.

The next couple of photos were taken within a three month period after February. I had only taken two rolls of fixed tripod photographs prior to using the Celestron 102EQ refractor and EQ 2 or 3 mount to take these photos.

My camera is a Canon EOS500. Using this equipment I have been able to achieve biggyback photograpy, A Focal, Prime Focus, and both positive and negative eyepiece projection. I have done minimal Photoshop adjustments, only basic contrast, brightness and curves.

I hope people visiting this site can see that they can do good looking photos with faily minimal equipment.

I can't wait for jupiter and saturn to give them a while.

Good viewing

Excellent shots Paul, even with no processing done on them.

You could do them more justice with a little tinkering after..

All of my shots in the IceInSpace Images (http://www.iceinspace.com/?images) section are taken with less than ideal equipment (point and shoot camera afocal on a tripod with a 10" dob). You can get some decent shots of solar system stuff, but how I do wish for a tracking mount.

Nice sharpening Iceman. Did you use a straight sharpening filter or an unsharp mask?
