Did a quick imaging session tonight, m22 2x10 mins ISO 200, uv/ir filter on
the 10 inch, MPCC as usual. Took 3 images first one had some guide error, I
checked the reticle, it was slightly out of focus making the guidestar
harder to position exactly, refocussed till red reticle was sharp, the
comatig guidestar ran north-south so any RA error was easy to spot and
correct. Im also glad I took the time to take about 10 short test shots at
ISO 1600 jpeg to tweak focus till stars were as small as possible. Shooting
at ISO 1600 helps bring out star colours more, using IRIS's Colour Stretch
function really brought out the star colours, fainter blue ones amongst
brighter yellow ones.
Modded 350D used. Processed in IRIS with a dark taken immediately after the imaging session, along with 2 flats and an offset frame, finished off in Photoshop.
