10 days on the Gold Coast. Hope it's fine over there!! Escaping the cold, the cloud, the rain.

The only bummer is that I miss the Auckland Astronomical Dark Sky Weekend and the best of the evening observing window. Not very well planned, family comes first.

Pity it wasn't last month, could have had a stop into the Astrofest.

I am enjoying the warm and the sun, especially when you get both 4 days in a row.

I was amazed to stumble upon a shop about 400 metres up the road packed with telescopes. Try doing that in New Zealand. A nice big 16 inch Meade Truss. Made me think of home.
