Hi all , Im new to this site and last night I saw somethinmg that maybe someone else witnessed. Ihad to find out so I joined your site.
I live in Sydnbey Northern beaches NSW ( Narrabeen) and was watching the lunar eclipse early stages approx 6.40PM. I face east and to the right of the moon were two bright star like lights about 2 inchs apart in simple terms moving quite fast and to the sth. No they were not planes and too fast for sats. I had some binocs and followed them for 30 secs , where they seemed to dim and then bounce apart and then nothing.
Im a simple man but jezze this was stange and I hope that someone else can explain or seen the same, cheers Glenn Batten

Hi Glenn,

I didn't see what you described, but at about 21:15 melbourne time, we witnessed a shooting star just below the moon travelling from north to south. It's amazing what you can see in the sky, especially when your eyes dark adapt. Maybe it was a satellite, I've seen a few of those, like stars they appear, move across the sky then fade out. Not sure mate.
