yeh between focus and exposure time, it was very very difficult to capture anything the way that you want it to be seen.

time to put the camera down and get the ol eyeball on it,
lots of processing to do tomorrow!

Another From Adelaide...
Didn't think it was going to happen for me - thick cloud until totality.
Nowhere near as good as monoxide's (are those taken with the 6" Newt?).
Those are amazing!
Cheers all - I could here excited gasps coming from backyards bordering mine when the clouds went.
Doug:thumbsup:

ED80 1x15sec exposure @ iso400

A few shots from Canberra :). Was a mission trying to focus with the 300mm 400D stock lens. Managed to get a few half decent shots thou :)

As we are on the same timezone, I thought I would just let you know what a great night we had here. 200 odd people and 4 scopes by the Arafura sea... Magic !

thanks guys,
Doug, pics were taken prime focus with the 6"
id like to have taken more shots but my scopes were commandeered
i still have a mass of raws to go through but i'd say a majority of them are duds.

certainly some nice images coming out of the woodwork! :)
