Gooday all, arrived home from work worried about the clouds that were threatening to spoil my lunar eclipse viewing this evening and to my surprise it was relatively clear at about 6.15pm so I set up my scope and camera and watched as the moon rose and thought yes its all happening but just as it cleared the tree tops it clouded over and blocked out the moon completely. I'm still waiting for a break in the clouds an hour and a half later.I cant help thinking how good the viewing was 24 hours ago-- its as if it was teasing us in Melbourne.
I guess Murphy is at work--all the clear nights we've had in the last week and no doubt it will be clear tommorrow night as well.:(

I am so p'd off and thinking to move to where ever it is clear most of the time (just joking).
The problem with Melbourne is that it is Melbourne.
Clear at 5:00 and clouded over at 5:01 :(

It was the pits here, just so cloudy in the East, but in the West - so clear. At last the moon is starting to show itself
