Set up the eq5 with the C-90 in the front yard to try and capture the eclipse tomorrow. Had the adjust the exposure in the RAW, and tweak the curves, but I'm reasonably happy with the result.

Very nice image Tony, it could even do with a tad of PP sharpening which would make it even better. The contrast is already excellent.

That's a very nice image Tony - which SCT T-thread adapter did you use - long or short?
Also, does the Canon have a mirror lock up, and did you use it? I seem to get a lot of vibration from the Pentax when the mirror flips up.
Cheers

haha, i was out last night with my 70-300mm lens, and i found camera shake when the lens autofocused, and when the mirror slapped up, easily enough fixed by turning on mirror lock-up and gettignt eh focus then switching to manual focus.... (and hope the lens don't creep!)
so yeah, teh 400D does has mirror lock up., quite handy! especially at large focul lengths

Hi Dennis,
We discovered that it doesn't make that much difference which thread we use. There is not much turning to get focus with either one, but we used the short one (already ordered ours, should be here next week). Used mirror lock-up.
