OK, please go easy on me. I'm only new to astronomy, so haven't even got a telescope yet. However, I do have a pair of 30x100 Binos to learn a bit more of the sky before spending any hard earned cash.
This was taken using a P&S digital camera, jammed up against the binoculars. I found it impossible using the DSLR, as I couldn't see whether the moon was in the middle of the frame or not.
I have tidied the image up as best I could. Hopefully I'll be able to get one or 2 photos of the eclipse if the clouds hold off.

Good pic
More practice and you will be a pro in no time
If you’re able to mount the binoculars on a tripod, take a short video then stack the video slides on top of one another it will look great.
Hope to see some pics of the lunar eclipse.

Only a pair of 30x100 binoculars, Straylight? Sounds good to me!! Welcome to IIS!
Even if you don't get good photos (but go for it!) you're going to have a great view through those lovelies!

:welcome: straylight, and a great first post with a great first picture.
I think the DSLR probably would have too much vignetting, depending on the lens that you're using, which is why the digicam probably will give better results.
With a bit of post-processing, that pic will turn out just great. The CA introduced by the binos isn't that off-putting.

I post-processed the image quite heavily already. There was quite a bit of CA originally, but I managed to get rid of most of it. I'll have another go tonight :)
I'll also take some video and see how that processes too.
