hi Rob,
that is truly a splendid image of yours!
I am curious - 11k and no darks?
is this one of the new release...?
Rob,
The image link is broken. The page loads, but the image doesn't display. Perhaps its only a problem for me.
Cheers
I got the same, it says that the image is missing.

Lovely Rob, the stars are nice and sharp and the detail is very nice. Well worth the wait. I just love those B/W images that Ha can create, they always seem to bring out the fine detail so wonderfully.
I certainly admire those Sbig cameras they are definitely worth every cent you pay for them.
Cheers
Nice work Rob. Shame about the fs102 field size though as some star elongation is present. Data is rich and smooth. When can we expect to see some data collected through the zambuto optics?

Stunning! ;)
Hope you don't mind Rob, I enjoyed your image but the stars really began to irritated me - so I create a star less cropped version to provide another expression of the great nebulosity you've captured. Some faint stars are still present and couldn't be bothered chasing these after numerous selection masks and filters. Its so much easier to collect data with a red continuum filter (aka the Ha filter companion) to subtract the stars so you're left with only nebulosity. Unfortunately jpeg compression has taken control.

Quite alright jase, yes it is a pity the fs102 doesn,t suit these big chips and i am using the dedicated tak reducer/field flattener..which itself was a expensive piece of glass.
I mean i really like the widefield shots so the stars are a bit upsetting, but my newt when it is finished will still have a good fov.that image was cropped about 40% so its such a waste
anyway cheers...rob
