well i got sick of the screw on t-ring adapter i have had to use with my focuser since the 2" 'slide in' version wouldn't reach focus.

after moving the mirror as far as i could up the tube using the collimation screws this is the result with the focuser at the end of its in focus.
it still looks a touch soft on the moon and still no go on anything else.
looks like i have to stick with the screw on bits till i get a new focuser. :doh:

on another note, i guess this image shows just how wide the field is with the 400d at prime focus

not fair you have clear skies!!!! nice sharp image though, glad to get your clear skies by tuesday!!

the full size image looked a touch soft off the camera

since it didnt really work as planned i guess ill re-collimate further back the tube again and make do with the screw on fittings until i get a 10:1 low profile.

i guess all we can do is hope the skies are clear for the big event!
i missed the last one due to clouds so id be a bit upset if it was the same with this one.
