Hi,

In the past weeks, I am busy with scanning and processing the film images taken in my trip in Australia last month. Some have been finished.

Before going for a photographic print, your opinion will definitely help me to make a decision on which taste of processing applied.

The link below is a combined image to show the comparison with 2 different processing routines on the same image.

Please be kind to let me know your vote, and if possible, state out the reason(s) of your choice.

If voting for none of them, welcome to have a play on my image to let me know your preference, or tell me which kind of image you would prefer.

Thanks in advance for your vote and any kind of opinion on my processing.

Hope you don't reject looking film image of our milky way, and enjoy please.

I prefer the first one, never been a fan of over processed images, though I've been guilty of it in the past...

Saturation & Curves. Brings out more detail & the nebulosity extends out more filling more of the frame. Whatever that huge greenish white dot is, it doesn't look good. :P

Hi William. It's a lovely shot. I prefer the first one, though I'm not sure what happened to Jupiter?

both are not bad images LT.
Prefer the second if it had the saturation brought down to the same as the first..
Did your lense fog up or was there some high cloud around? as jupiter has a huge halo around it?
Got some details as to camera/lense/film etc?
cheers

Thank much very much for the input from all of you.

It is really a pity to me that the lens got fogged up near the end of the exposure. That results in a "big" halo around Jupiter. Do you think there is any processing skill to remove it?

Nice one William. First one for me as well. I don't know what you can do about Jupiter though.

It's a wonderful image William.
I prefer the first one too and it's a simple matter to clone out Jupiter altogether.
I've taken the liberty to do this and post it to show you, I hope you don't mind.

Once again great work.
