G'day all,
I like to by a Celestron CPC 1100 GPS XLT.
Look like the best price is at Andrews C.
What if the sct optics are less than acceptable?
Is the dealer have to exchange it, or send it to
Celestron for months, or just ignore me... ?
What is your experiment with the 11" sct and
Andrews C. ?
Thanks,
Mick.

Andrews - fine, warranty - excellent - Celestron - great, warranty 2 years I believe
MyAstroshop will probably match them too - give Steve a call

Hello miki63au,
I just had a look at your machine on the Celestron site. It's a real beauty. :thumbsup:I have a C8 from 1986 and the optics are fantastic. I really don't think that you'll have any problems with the telescope. I was in Andrews not long ago, and asked the assistant why they didn't stock brand xxxxx. They said, "there were too many warranty problems with the other brand (no names mentioned) but that they didn't have that sort of problem with Celestron. That's why they stock them".
With that sort of recommendation, I wouldn't be concerned about Celestron. They are very good quality machines.
Now I've written this, it makes me wonder why I was still wondering about what brand my next scope could (would?) be.
