Ngc6337

Hi all, here is one from last night. I was on a bit of a planetary nebula hunt hunt but conditions were probably not the best but as I haven't had a chance for over a week to get out the dew and jetstream were not going to stop me.

This is PN NGC6337 mag 12.3 in Scorpio.
It is described by Dreyer as a remarkable but extremeley faint object amongst stars.

This image was a combination of 50 images in Ha @ 21.2 seconds each
while battling some heavy dew on the corrector.

Good image on this fine target Ric. Pleased to see your Ha imaging improving. No flats or darks yet? (there appears to be a dust donut top left of PN). Looking forward to seeing more of your work.:thumbsup:

Gary, Star Atlas Pro list it's size as 0.80"

Andrew, I think it would be a show stopper seeing it through an Obsession dob or similar.

Jase, I had applied darks but there was no flats. Flats are now the next step of my learning curve to kill off those dust bunnies. I am a lot happier with my imaging/focussing techniques now, thanks for your advice and tips in previous threads.

I think the size is 51" or 0.85'.
