It details all of the eclipses between the years 1501 and 2100 and provides visibility diagrams.

Personally, I can't wait for Sydney's total solar eclipse in 2028...but I'll try to see a few other events before then.

It's fun to look at, not just looking forward (it's a busy time for Australia this century), but also in the past.

For example, I can well remember the solar eclipse of 1976. As a kid, I was playing outside, and I was asked to come inside into the loungeroom. The curtains were drawn, and I watched the eclipse on TV.

Does anyone else have recollections of the 1976 solar eclipse?

Hi Greg, Great site !! thanks! I have a couple of friends who have vague recollections of the '76 eclipse. A few? schools here in SA went on camp near Mt.Gambier to see it. He just mentioned how dark it got, and how all the birds went quite and an eerie silence followed thats about it - i dont think they were allowed to look at it directly and had to use pinhole projection?.

It's the type of site I've been hunting around for some time. It's great to be able to click on a location, eg. Sydney / Gosford / Adelaide, and see what lies ahead in terms of eclipses.

Take a look at the November 2012 total solar eclipse in northern Australia. That will be an interesting sight.

Greg, that is a seriously amazing feature - the little animated giffs of the eclipse! Although i have used Starry Night to do similar simulations many times - I would still use that as well as all the dates in 600 years history for one location are conveniantly put together as you pointed out - revolutionary site!.
Re 2012 eclipse - I am a bit worried about weather in the North at that time of year maybe? beginning of rainy season? i remember nov/dec in Bribane alone being pretty wet sometimes! Maybe one nice member of the group who lives in the lucky areas could give us a heads up on that? :)
I hope a website even half as good as that amazing website Fraser Farrell did for the dec 2002 TSE springs up in the coming years :)
