Finally a decent night :) with Jupiter virtually at zenith had to resort to using the barlow after the diagonal with the fork mount for a while before there was room without it. As soon as that happened predictably some cloud came in so had to time some AVI runs for any clear spots. Eyepiece views looked great but on the screen it was a bit patchy but good to get some time in after a lengthy hiatus.

Very nice! Good natural looking colours and some fine detail. Can you give us the details of the setup?

Thanks Graeme/Andrew.......Gear used 10"LX200/ToUcam 840 with 3xbarlow, K3ccdtools settings 10fps,shutter 1/25,gain 60-70%,gamma 10%,brightness 40-50%, saturation 100%. Dropped the brightness last night usually have it higher, increased gain although its a juggling act not to overexpose Jups zonal area. Shot 15 AVIs from 7.42pm-9.26pm {Perth LT}, ones shot with the diagonal before the barlow had larger image scale but very soft, the others came out sharper. Blue channel pretty rough, final images couldnt handle to much sharpening/processing.

Nice work, Stu.

What would you put the seeing at?

I'm guessing around the 6-6.5/10 range?

Good to see you getting out under the sky and getting some images Stuart  I like 'em both, but that second one is a cracker.

Thanks Matt/Paul......yeah Matt probably rate the seeing at that, the image on the preview screen seemed to deteriorate towards the end of the session. Actually was surprised when I hooked up the 3xbarlow for its first light with the image scale of Jup, looked promising, from the RGB channels in the attached pic the blue was a shocker though. Hoping to try a new 900 toUcam the next time out :)
