The halo of NGC 5128

Heres a deep shot of galaxy NGC 5128. Ive masked it to show the faint halo extending further out then the normally visible part. I used the mighty 300mm lens

8x5 mins 300mm f2.8 Flourite lens ISO200 uv/ir filter, modded 350D. Masked to preserve the core but also show the halo.

Scott, you certainly got the black band showing out a long way from the central core. Top stuff!

Great images Scott, as Ken mentioned the dust lane really extends a lot further and even seems to break into a fork.
