Just back from downstairs, after having a good look at my new INFINITY XL Autocollimator.

This is a very precise tool for checking exact collimation, and is very precise. Using the Autocollimator along with the my Glatter Barlowed Laser, both tools confirm exact collimation.
Many of you will want to know whether it is worth the extra money over the Barlowed Laser? That question is hard to determine at this point, however using the Autocollimator I believe tweaks the secondary precisely while the Barlowed laser tweaks the primary precisely (The Autocollimator tweaks the primary as well, so in theory the Laser is not needed).
Using a fine beam laser before using the barlow, seems to get the seondary aligned in the ballpark however the Autocollimator is very sensitive and will ensure the secondary is exactly centred. The precision was surprising.
I placed the triangle supplied to centre the primary using the Catseye Kit and that was well work the money spent also.
Keep you posted regrarding further progress.

PS Just for the record the tweaking I mentioned above is all done by hand. Autocollimators don't collimate automatically as the name suggests.
