Hi Davgai
My son is in the Wyoming Cub Scouts, I think his group is doing something on that night too.

Make sure you read the article here on IceInSpace (http://www.iceinspace.com.au/index.php?id=63,409,0,0,1,0), it explains what you'll need to know.

Is your scout hall the one near the Gosford Waterfront, or is it the one near the oval on the way to Springfield?

You basically just want a fairly good Eastern horizon. The main action starts around 6:45pm (umbral phase), and the moon will be about 17deg above the horizon, and will get higher from there.

Good luck!

Thanks Mike, we are the Scouts near the oval and East Gosford. Do you think we will see anything from here or should we head Terrigal way?
