Finally got around to combining a couple of sessions of images of the lagoon. I dont recall the total exp length, the second batch was calibrated, and certainly helped with the overall picture.. Still trying, BTW these are with 100ED.. not the 14er, having a lot of fun with this little scope...Thought I might share this with my freinds here..
Have a great weekend all..

nice image shawn
It's coming together nicely Shawn, tracking seems is a little out, but other than that great effort.
Leon
Nice one Shawn, it looks like you were starting to pick the faint outer parts of the nebula as well.
Cheers

Looking good Shawn, the focus is better, and the tracking/guiding as well. Still a smattering of trailing though. Guided? With eht 14"?

Well, if unguided, then I am out of line, it is fine. Show us one guided first and I am sure it will be way better. Auto-guide, or manual?
How do you focus?

Nice shot! ;)
Its too bad the core burnt out, if that didn't happen the image would have been a beauty (not saying that it isn't like that). It's allways hard not to do that with nebulae like the lagoon.
Kepp it up! ;)
