Hi
I did two, 10 min. ISO 400 shots on the Triffid, 10 inch F5.6 and EOS300D
the last quarter moon was rising as I did them.

The trifid is just so photogenic!

Thanks to scott for a delightful shot. One of the first images that got me started at the old Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (became the Powerhouse Museum) was a colour slide-no more stunning than this-of this Trifid nebula, and I was running the slide projector, so I saw it a lot.

Great shot Scott I didnt notice the spikes when I first saw your shot looks even better the second look.. sincerely... you gotta try the Eagle Neb I got some interesting results when trying a couple of colour filters a while back
