These images are by Florent Poiget. He's a very talented astrophotographer, but his terrestrial images of the US National Parks are nothing short of breath-taking.
I thought i'd post the link here to share, since we've all enjoyed Gary's images of similar landmarks in recent weeks.

Bah! Simple stuff!!!
All you need to do pics like that is a good subject, good equipment, artistic talent, great skills in photography, experience, flair, imagination etc etc.
Anyone can do it :P
They are stunning!
Hi Mike,
Thanks for posting the link to Florent's photos which I really enjoyed looking at.
A nice set of great images.
After my traveling companions dropped me off at the small airport at Flagstaff
so I could fly on to RTMC in California, they headed further afield including to
Antelope Canyon.
In fact, we were originally driving to go to Antelope Canyon (numbers are
limited and you have to book), but when we encountered snow, we cancelled
the booking and re-arranged the schedule.
Andrew Murrell showed me some images he subsquently took inside of this
slot canyon and they are spectacular. You can see in Florent's pictures how
nicely the light plays off the sandstone walls.
So when are you going? :)
Best Regards
Gary

:eyepop:Truly incredible shots there Florent!!
You are a very talented man!!
Bonjour Florent,
Even though I know you are a keen astrophotographer, the good news is that
if you want to do some visual astronomy, then there is no need to bring a telescope,
as there is plenty of aperture available here to be shared.
We also have no shortage of observing colleagues that will help you drink
that wine and we'd be delighted to bring some of our local Australian
wines along as well.
Seriously, if you ever plan on coming down, just drop us a line and
we can assist.
Best regards
Gary Kopff

Hi Guys,
My gallery of the West is now complete. I posted a few new pictures (Yellowstone and Bryce Canyon) with a panoramic shot of the Grand Canyon made with 3 slides taken with my Sigma Serie Pro 17mm lens.
I used Panorama Maker 3.0 to make this panoramic view.

I hope you will like them. :)

Florent ;)

Gary, Eric,
Thank you very much Guys. I appreciated your messages a lot.
To take these landscapes, it was a Great pleasure.
I did not use polarizing filter for all my images, just natural light. I especially used my Sigma Serie PRO 17mm/35mm aspherical lens to have a wide field of view and to have an important depth on the landscapes.
Warmest Regards,
Florent :)
Gary : thank you for your 2 e-mails.
