just for fun I combined this H alpha image with OIII data I acquired last year.
This was only 50 minutes and of poor quality -star trailing and noisy-but still, here is my first colour mapped image (OIII data contributed to blue and green channels, H alpha data to red and 20 % to blue-synthetic H beta )
don't have Registar so alignment was manual; also
different star sizes in H alpha and OIII means full res image is pretty ordinary

A very 3D like appearance. I like the coloured version, looks very cool. Well done.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Ha image. The culmination of 4 hours data provides a smooth, noise free appearance and is a credit to your efforts. Well done.

Thats a fine effort, you certainly extract the max out of the gear you have. Good detail, tastefull processing and excellent guiding for such long exposures.

Narayan, I love the black Globules in your cropped image
You have certainly got a lot of things happening correctly: Tracking/Guiding, Focus, contrast etc etc :)
Very nice work.

Great work Narayan! You've really improved a lot in the last 12 months. Beautiful image, very 3D.
Lovely images Narayan, the mix of Ha & OIII is very stunning visually.

Both are very nice, Ha is funny looking huh? I like the ability to image even when the moon is about. Nice job of combining the two as well.

Very sharp! ;)
I'm thinking od getting myself Ha, OIII, and SII filters to do this sort of thing.

Thanks all for your interest and comments. Not only does narrow band allow imaging on a moonlit night but even on a new moon or third quarter night, one can image from home-and that's two or three hours that can go to exposure instead of travel to a dark site.
