Anyone have any idea what I could use for an insulator in my dome? It is metal sheet skinned with square tube frame (20mm) I was thinking of polystyrene, what do you think?
I am trying to dampen out the sound as the dome rotates (my sone aged 3 thinks its a thunderstorm approaching) And at 2am is quite loud.
Also trying to stop a bit of condensation.

The walls would be easy enough but moulding the foam to the dome will be tricky using 20mm. Maybe a thinner size would be easier...12mm or less. Theres a company on South road near Edwardstown ,Southern Insulation..I think,I've done work for them before. They'll put you on the right track, good guys to talk to. Then ring a few others for the best price.
Another option is polyurethane sprayed on but that can be expensive, though its easy to apply.
Or maybe buy a boom box for the dome. lol

LOL @ boom Box, will go with the 130Db squealer I plan to put in it then. Thanks for the Company, I will give them a go and see what they sell. Might be something else I can use that works better.
