Anyone know of any astro related sites or attractions in British Columbia (Canada)?

I'm heading over to Vancouver in November for a wedding. I plan to take a few weeks to look around while I'm there. Of course, I'd like to take longer but I have limited leave available at the moment:rolleyes:.

I'll be hooking up with some non-astro mates there, but if anyone has some suggestions for astro sites to visit there, I'd be happy to slope off by myself for a while, or even drag a newbie along;).

I'm looking forward to seeing Polaris with my own eyes for the first time - oh, and I've love to get a good look at M31! I'll be traveling light though - no scope!

Thanks - only if it's convenient though;).

I've found the planetarium in Vancouver on the web, and it seems there's an observatory at the uni in Victoria, but I don't know if it's open to the public... guess I'll find out when I get there.:)

That's universal isn't it?

Maybe that;s what clouds are for... to make traveling astronomers feel at home?:lol:
