Here's what the windows of my car looked like this morning before defrosting. Taken from inside (better light). These images are as captured - just resized and saved for the web. There's some great natural patterns there... might come in handy for the odd arty mask;).

Great shots there Al

Reminds me of the old Landbruiser, Cooma Rescue 70 on some late night callout in the middle of winter.

Of course! You never hang off a rope in anger when the weather is fine and cozy! There's a corollary of Murphy's Law there somewhere - I know it.;)

Thanks. I thought so.

Yeah, sometimes it's worth taking that extra little bit of time. Earlier this winter I saw for the first time ever the finest ice crystal tree formation on the inside of my windscreen as I was driving to work. I was impressed that there was enough humidity inside the car to form it and that it was cold enough. I should've stopped straight away and photographed it - I did think to do it... but... (not thinking properly) I decided to photograph it when I got to work... less than 2 minutes later.

It didn't make it...

Hi Al,

Fantastic pics. I can't believe you live where it gets that cold. We got down to 8 degrees a couple of times this winter and I thought i was going to die then. No way I would survive where you live.
