Hi all
I took the camera and tripod to work yesterday, hoping to get an opportunity on the way home to take a picture of the conjunction.
The timing worked out favourably, and I stopped at the Gosford Waterfront near home and spent 15 minutes grabbing a few shots. I would've preferred to have waited until they were a little lower, and I would've preferred a few light clouds to give some depth, but I'm fairly happy with how they turned out.
Taken with the Canon 350D on a fixed tripod, with the Sigma 17-70mm lens.
The first shot is at 25mm, f/9, 8 second exposure @ ISO100.
The second shot is at 70mm, f/9, 10 second exposure @ ISO100.
The second one has also been cropped a bit tighter, but neither have had any other processing except for resize + sharpen for the web.
Thanks for looking.
