Hallo friends!
in my signature you find the phrase:
“Grüße von Ispom”
so I intended giving my greetings a personal note,
it is German language and is translated as “greetings from Ispom”
the letter ß is pronounced like c in Mice
ü (difficult for an English tongue) between ee in cheese and oo in tool….
one may also transcribe (for non german keyboards) so: ß=ss and ü=ue
therefore not “GruBe” but “Gruesse”

I clear up so detailed, because I received repitedly PMs or postings with address:
“Hallo GruBe” :lol:

Yes aussies are pretty bad with pronounciation.
Lucky for me that i can read german and several other languages.
In aussie land you have to have the pronouncuation right or else they just don't understand what you say.

especially in the federal state (Bundesland) Sachsen-Anhalt the people have an horribe slang, no foreigner can understand them :doh:

In a lot of European countries they have dialects.

Das Hochdeutsch ist fast überall gleich.
But there are local differences:
e.g: official is "today" spoken in Austria not "heute" but "heuer"
or "January" is not "Januar" , but "Jänner" and so on...
