Well, it's a start :P. If I had a PC, I'd stack and probably get a better picture. I only have a Mac right now and I'm in the boonies farther away from light pollution where my PC is.

"Only have a Mac"? I run an advertising company and will ONLY employ Macs for graphics duties. There are various stacking programs that will work on OSX - none as fully developed as Registax, granted, but will work nonetheless.

If you run into trouble with mage size try opening it in paint then saving it, dont change anything about the image, just open and save. i find that allthough there is not that much visible change, the file-size can go down to about 25% of what it was before, then you can link to your original image for the high quality version! ;)

What type of camera did you use, exposure, settings etc?.

Camera: Nikon D50
His settings were:
F/2,8
f=42mm
13sec.
iso 1600

U can read simply the fileinfo if u download the image.
The S/N ratio isnt that good at iso 1600. Does the D50 has an internal darkframe option ? When it does, then turn it on ! If you combine iso 400/800/1600 images u will get a very good image i think. But 13 sec. are not very much. But a good astro-imaging start.

And how did you shot this picture? On a tripod or on a mount ?

I just had it on a tripod. I hope to get the Min-EQ & motors soon to do at least 5 minute exposures without trailing if properly polar aligned. :thumbsup:

13 seconds I believe was too much, I didn't know I could do 13 seconds at 42mm. I might get 14-15 @ 37mm which is the minimum I have with 24-70mm cropped 1.54x sensor. I really need to borrow my friends 80-200 F2.8 when I get the mount & motors
