Jupiter with blue filter

I used a blue filter to take this photo of jupiter tonight just to see if it would bring out the GRS, transit was 19:44.
Lx90, Nikon coolpix 4500 and a 15mm EP.

Looks like Neptune minus the little white cloud!

Pity the GRS didn't show up more than usual. Was worth a try though Mick.

this is what its all about Mick. Trying different things. :cool2: Its a good shot in its own right. Shame it didn't bring out the colour a bit better. If it really was red these days and not orange it probably would have come out clearer.

That's really great for an afocal! Better than any afocals I ever managed. I can see the GRS really clearly.

I think its a dob users thing mike. I can see the grs pretty clearly too :)
