I am pleased to announce that our humble little 'Snake Valley Astronomical Association' in our small town of only about 150 people has blossomed.

We have passed the 30 members mark! Today I recieved our 31st membership application.

Not bad considering we were originally hoping to get about 10 - 15 members.

Interesting to note that the majority of the members come up from Melbourne!!!

There are also members from Snake Valley, Ararat, Learmonth, Broomfield (north of Creswick), and all sorts of places in between.

Our Club nights are a lot of fun (no boring meetings) and I believe that is one of the attractions. Oh, and plus the dark sky!

Well done Ken and the Snake Valley folk.

As Steve points out, it's a reflection of what you all stand for and the way you are going about things.

I was really inspired by your effort and humbled at the same time.
You know how I am into the gravity thing I keep saying I will do it..make a movie .. and although I did some minor stuff I never bite the bullet... its work which I avoid but seeing your stuff draws me in ..if you see what I mean.
