Saw these critters on Sunday morning in the desiduous Elm tree across the road.
There was 4 of them, munching away on the pods.
I was on my balcony across the road with the 350D + 75-300mm lens @ 300mm.
1/100s exposure, contrast/saturation adjust, resize+sharpen for web.
The second one is a crop out of the first.
Thanks for looking.
Beautiful colours, Mike, and nicely composed.
That's a nice scene. Very peaceful.
Gee I wondered where my rellies got to  :rofl:Nice capture Mike.

Beautiful shots Mike. They remind me so much of the fractal nature of Nature.

Good pics Mike.
If you want several thousand of those Galahs you are welcome to come here and take them all away! They drive us crazy with their noise, especially just before sunset as they choose their trees for the night.
And the several hundred Sulphur-crested Cockatoos. It's a battle to see which ones can drown each other out with their noise.
You can have the flock of rare Black ones too. We have several hundred of them also. Not very rare!

Thanks for the feedback guys, they are nice birds to look at but I wouldn't want 100 of them on my yard :)
Thanks for the correction on the tree, Greg. Bird species and tree species are not my strong point :)
